Bangkok, Thailand offers a vibrant perspective into life and culture on the continent of Asia. There are approximately 15.5 million people living in the greater metropolitan area, making the Thai capital among the largest cities in the world. It has ranked as the world’s number one international travel destination in recent years.
Bangkok is filled with elaborate Buddhist temples that are used by monks and others who are practicing the belief system. It is interesting to see an infinity pool on the 14th floor of the Eastin high-rise hotel, a $250 million gold Buddha statue that had practically been lost in the ruins of the Ayutthay kingdom, and thousands of people eating dinner at street side restaurants.
During the visit in 2013, The Solstik Project brought a Nikon camera setup and captured as much of the experience as possible. A collection of photographs from Bangkok are posted to the Solstik Flickr page.
